apr 19, 1775 - Battles of Lexington and Concord

Description:

When Paul Revere warned the people that British troops were coming to seize arms, the colonial militia mobilized to defend their people. After British troops marched to Concord, they were met with the minutemen and militia defending the town. Amidst confusion, a shot was fired (known as the "Shot Heard 'Round the World) and it kicked off the war. This battle, though resulting in many casualties on both sides, was won by the colonies.
