Description:

First recorded live set. A 19-minute long improvisation "Smokin' cigarette blues" recorded during Doshisha school festival in Doshisha University, Kyoto, on 29th of November 1968.

During this performance, Rallizes lineup was quite strange, although this is the first known recording of Katoh Takashi playing, so I suppose he had joined the band around this time.

Takashi Mizutani — fuzz guitar
Takeshi Nakamura — bass guitar
Takashi Katoh — drums (and tambourine?)
Moriyaki Wakabayashi — harmonica

Moriyaki Wakabayashi, who by that point had left the band, was on that performance, and right during it, had jumped on stage and played with harmonica to show a protest towards the band "The Golden Cups". As much as wild it sounds, it is true and can be heard from around 8th minute on the recording.

According to Wakabayashi himself, he never was in contact with Mizutani after this.
