"I guess I should put down an update. It has been 5 months since we were told to refocus from the Sheppard case. So it's been back to watching empty empty houses and backyards for a while. Peaceful. I checked on the Sheppard feeds the other day. It was as if nothing ever happened. No staring at corners, no outbursts everything as it should be. A man enjoying retirement. I finally got to know what he liked to do. Listening to classical music. Reading. Napping. Typically elderly retiree things.

I feel like such a fool. I still haven't visited my dad. I couldn't. Or maybe I just didn't want to. I just couldn't. I guess that makes me a bad person as well. To be concerned about a random stranger and not care about my own.

But now? Everything is ok."
