EternalAbyss169, the mayor of Stormhaven at the time, found himself under pressure following the transfer of leadership from the former mayor, Theonenoneliked. Theonenoneliked had originally intended to disband Stormhaven entirely rather than appoint a successor. EternalAbyss169, however, wanted to preserve the city and rebuild it. The two eventually reached an agreement. EternalAbyss169 would be allowed to take over the city on the condition that it was renamed. He agreed to these terms and subsequently renamed Stormhaven to Cobaltia.
