what happened in the battle: Japanese aircraft damaged a US base on Midway. the only issue is that Japan didn't know the US carrier forces where on the other side of the island ready to attack. while the Japanese aircraft headed back to get a refuel the navy became aware of the US carrier forces. US bombed the Japanese fleet multiple times. the only survivor sent two wave attacks. US forced Japanese troops to evacuate.
