Something known as a temperature inversion trapped some kind of still and motionless cold air over the town of Donora Pennsylvania. For 5 days the smoke from factores wasnt blowing around or rising into the atmosphere so there was a thick smog cast over the town. It killed 20 people and made around half the town ill.Added to timeline:
