Description:

The Pacific Railway Act was signed into the law by President Abraham Lincoln. This project provided Federal government support. The congress passed a bill to create the transcontinental rail road that would connect the West with the rest of the nation. This involved 2 companies. The Central Pacific were Chinese immigrants.
