Description:

Major turning point in the history of East India company in India came when the company defeated the Mughal empire (Shah Alam-II) and allies in The Battle of Buxar in 1764.

In 1765, the East India Company (EIC) got the Diwani rights to collect taxes in Bengal, Bihar and Orissa, under the treaty of Allahabad.
