aug 10, 1932 - A Failed Military Coup

Description:

Following the reforms under Manuel Azana, General Sanjurjo staged a coup because of disagreements over the military reforms. Battles took place in Madrid and Seville, where Sanjurjo initially succeeded in taking Seville, however fell short at Madrid. Sanjurjo surrendered. The incident, named "Sanjurada", was considered a failure, however still had influenced on left radicalists.
