jan 1, 1972 - Equal pay act

Description:

Before 1960, it was legaly allowed for women to be given different amounts in pay even for the same job. The equal pay act 1960 erradicated the gender influenced pay scale for public sector workers before the Equal pay act 1972 added similar rules to the private sector.
