john legend was born he was home schooled and he started to play the piano at the age of four at the age of 12 he went to highschool he also graduated from high school at the age of 16
also at the age of 16, he was offered to go to Harvard University and got scholarships to Georgetown University and Morehouse College but he went to the University of Pennsylvania ´´He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in English in 1999´´ After graduating from college he became a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group
He also made 2 albums independently one called his self-titled demo in the 2000s and the other album in the year 2001 it is called Live at Jimmy's Uptown
Also, in 2001 Devo Springsteen introduced john to Kanye West. he released the album, Get Lifted. with Kanye West, Dave Tozer, and will. i.am, he was on an episode of Sesame Street and sang one song; called ´It Feels Good When You Sing a Song´´ he was in the halftime show at the 2006 NBA All-Star Game he did his second called album ´´Once Again´´ he was sued for a copyright infringement
