independence declared in 1791,
there are 2 significant people

independence movements. those
people are Napoleon and Francois
Toussaint-Louverture. Haiti
had a majority
population of enslaved
Africans who were forced to
work the sugar and coffee
plantations and they were treated brutally
and wanted rights. Mexico
gained independence in 1821
the two people Miguel Hidalgo
Jose Maria Morelos. Many natives and
mestizos suffered from poverty
many people wanted rights
so thats what lead to the independence. Gran Columbia
1819 is when Gran Columbia gained
their independence.

independence is their extreme
poverty and they wanted change
