Greek Dark Ages (jan 1, 1100 BC – jan 1, 800 BC)

Description:

Start: Most sources cite c. 1200–1100 BCE as the onset, triggered by the Late Bronze Age Collapse, the destruction of Mycenaean palaces, and the loss of the Linear B writing system.

End: The period concluded between c. 800–750 BCE, characterized by the rediscovery of writing (adopting the Phoenician alphabet), the rise of the polis (city-states), and the composition of Homeric epics.

The language discovered was completely unrelated to Mycenean language and influenced by Asia in letters and design, very likely from Phonecia, modern day Lebanon (Hence phonecian alphabet). Taking the letters, inventing vowels and developing its own script.
