FAQ

In Against Apion, Josephus and Apion discussed the record of Egyptian historian Manetho. Manetho recorded two different groups leaving in the 16th century BC. The first was much larger, in the hundred thousands. They left willingly. The second group, led by an Egyptian priest named Osarseph who changed his name to "Moses," was driven out by force and mostly killed. (may 10, 1600 BC – may 10, 1500 BC)
